Usemos los medios sociales para cambiar el sistema electoral

He estado leyendo estos días un gran libro del cual os daré cuenta en breve en LOLeemos: La dictadura de la incompetencia de Xavier Roig, un empresario del sector de las nuevas tecnologías con un discurso abiertamente liberal. Abiertamente liberal es un término que debe ser interpretado de forma correcta: a favor de la regulación y del sector público, pero sin pasarse de la ralla que todos los que tenemos derechos, también tenemos obligaciones.

La principal sensación que me ha quedado (además de que la sociedad civil cada vez está más apartada de la política y los políticos)  es que debemos hacer algo para cambiar la forma en la que somos dirigidos ya que parece que muchos utilizan nuestros impuestos para servirse y no para servirnos, y luego no hay recursos para muchas cosas importantes, pero si para malgastarlo (eso si, es facturas de menos de 12.000 euros).

Como el párrafo anterior me ha quedado un poco demagógico, propongo un ejemplo por el cual comenzar a comernos este elefante: modificar la ley electoral. Actualmente, en España votamos cada cuatro años para elegir a nuestros 350 representantes para el Congreso de los Diputados utilizando un método basado en las listas cerradas y circunscripciones provinciales. Esto implica que las personas no votamos directamente a nadie pese a que haya un cabeza de cartel, puesto que damos nuestro voto a una lista provincial de la cual no solemos conocer a casi nadie.

Sabiendo que los medios sociales son un gran altavoz, me gustaría proponer un reto utilizando estas nuevas herramientas: que la ciudadanía debata abiertamente un cambio en el sistema electoral y que este debate ser oiga y se lleve a la práctica incluso en el Congreso, puesto que el sistema político está para servirnos y no para servirse. Está claro que el actual status quo les interesa a los políticos y partidos actuales, pero a nosotros NO y lo queremos cambiar.

Para comenzar el debate os presento dos sistemas alternativos que se utilizan en otros países européos:

- Pequeñas circunscripciones y listas cerradas. Este es el ejemplo que utilizan en el Reino Unido, por ejemplo. Se crean demarcaciones electorales donde se elige a un solo representante, el que mayor votación obtiene. Luego, ese representante de la zona tiene abierta una oficina pública con asistentes y una agenda pública para que la gente del pueblo que le ha votado o no, le pueda exigir responsabilidades por su gestión.

- Grandes circunscripciones con listas abiertas. Esto nos ha de permitir poder elegir personalmente a los políticos de la lista que queremos escoger: los que nos demuestren que están más capacitados para llevar a cabo los cambios y se esfuercen por darse a conocer al pueblo son los elegidos.

Estoy convencido de que los medios sociales: blogs, TW, FB… son un perfecto altavoz para poder levantar nuestra voz y que sea escuchada. Para que nuestro país cambie, hemos de ser las personas individuales las que promulguemos el cambio puesto que nuestros políticos ya están bien como están.
